- Authors
Shapiro, Svi
- Abstract
This article explores the radical studies in the sociology and politics of education in the U.S. For the Left, the early and mid eighties has been a period of considerable anguish and adding to the suffering of the already agonized condition. The wide impact of socialist ideas on the political, social and intellectual life of the country, is discussed. On the other hand, the ideological poverty of contemporary political debate is made sharply clear when one looks at the 1984 primary campaign for the Democratic party presidential nomination.
