- Abstract
The article focuses on the kinds of interaction and mediated experiences that groups of learners might have with museum technology. It presents the role of mediators, suitable settings for learning, online approaches to learning, and technology enhanced learning in museums. It states that social application of technology should solidify their place in a well-balanced interpretive alongside personal technology devices. It suggests that museum technologies mediated by guides, docents or teachers has the potential to extend the reach and impact of technology by integrating it into a larger learning context.
