- Abstract
The article focuses on Texas Legislature enacted the Texas Heartbeat Act, an anti-abortion statute popularly known as Senate Bill 8 which cannot be legitimized through comparisons to Qui Tam and environmental protection statutes. It mentions rationales are not applicable in the abortion context and woman's right to choose was embedded in her Fourteenth Amendment rights, on June 24, 2022, the Court reversed course in Dobbs v. Jackson Women's Health Organization.
