- Abstract
The article discusses the importance of analyzing textile fibers at the American Association of Textile Chemists and Colorists (AATCC). Adam Varley, Committee RA24 chair at AATCC, stated that fiber is the most important attribute of textile . Correct fiber content labeling on garments was implemented by the U.S. Federal Trade Commission. RA24's fiber analysis test methods were used by retailers to find quality assurance of fibers to be used in textile fabrics. Varley also stated that their test methods were also used by fiber manufacturers for new fibers that would be recognized.
