- Abstract
The article digests the essential developments at the Ad Hoc International Criminal Tribunals from July 1 to September 2004. It reviews the case trial, appeals, and judgment of the Trial Chamber and Appeals Chamber of crimes such as war crimes, genocide, crime against humanity committed by several individuals including Tihomir Blaš kić and Radoslav Brđ ain and in Niyitegeka. It highlights the substantive developments, the procedural developments and evidentiary developments of the cases. It evaluates the rules and statutes of the International Criminal Tribunal for the Former Yugoslavia (ICTYS) and the International Criminal Tribunal for Rwanda (ICTR). It also notes on the modes of liability and the rights of the accuse on self representation and unbiased bench.
