The article discusses the reinterpretation of qualitative hedonism of John Stuart Mill. It presents the discussions between Christoph Schmidt-Petri and Jonathan Riley regarding their interpretations on the qualitative hedonism of John Stuart Mill. It mentions that a lesser quantity of pleasure with greater quality is rational and has a greater contribution to happiness. Moreover, it says that judging the interpretations of pleasure, will depend on how they balance its quantity and quality.
