Characteristics of the disease, risk factors, prevention practices, clinical manifestations and identification of cases and route of care for suspected cases: 5 major aspects, (10 questions each) are evaluated. Frequency measures were calculated for categorical variables, and measures of central tendency and standard deviations for quantitative variables. Result: Out of the total participants, 91.6% (40) are unaware that an individual with latent tuberculosis can spread the disease, 38.8% (19) are unaware of the risk a for a child under one year to catch it, 22.4 % (11) did not identify close contact with a sick person as a risk factor for children. Only 2% (1) recognized the presence of cough for more than 21 days as a suggestive sign of tuberculosis disease in children. Conclusion: The community mothers of this study have little knowledge about childhood TB.
