The article presents the discussion on Arabic lexicographical tradition has deep roots in history, with its origins traced back to the elucidation of Quranic lexemes. Topics include efforts to interpret rare words in the Quran are regarded as the genesis of lexical studies among Muslims; and fundamental rules defining morphological and phonetic structures, as well as permutation processes.
