- Abstract
Origin traceability is an effective guarantee to protect the safety of agricultural products, such as the information of the origin of products and pass a fake off as a real one. Stable isotope traceability technology obtains high-precision tracing and traceability capabilities, which is an effective means to trace the origin of agricultural products. This technology has achieved remarkable results at home and abroad. Based on these research results, this review summarized the application progress of stable isotopes of light and heavy elements in agricultural products in the origin traceability and identification of authenticity of the past 5 years (2018—2022), and expounded the research of stable isotope combination with other technologies. The article has drawn conclusions based on the judgment results: By increasing the number of samples, expanding the sampling range, screening effective traceability indicators, selecting appropriate chemometric methods, and using multiple analysis techniques for fusion identification, the correct rate of traceability can be improved. This manuscript has improved the traceability system of agricultural products and provides a reference for the future research of stable isotopes.
