The author offers her views on the separation of Problems and Theories course from Legal Research and Writing in various law schools. She thinks the separation is unnecessary and it does not serve the purposes educators want their pedagogy to serve. She believes that the focus on teaching doctrine via the case method defines "thinking like a lawyer" in a cramped and one-dimensional way.
