- Abstract
Contemporary man, satisfying his needs by using natural resources, often go beyond the capability of nature. The modern consumer society has imposed a number of imaginary man needs that are not directly related to his life and life's well- being. The struggle for profit and with it, the insatiable pursuit of money, pushing the man into the abstraction of natural resources through the limits set by the nature, their capabilities and capacities. The paper gives a brief overview on the constitutional and legal grounds for the protection of natural resources. It is then given a review of the principle of sustainable development as basic legal principle of nature protection. Finally, a review of the moral principles of man's relation to nature, as well as of moral values and moral deviations of man in relation to nature is given.
