- Abstract
The communication in the medical practice is an important condition for the effective performance of the professional duties by the physicians in the clinical specialized medical care. From the point of view of the diagnosis, the treatment and the prevention, the communication is both a strategy for managing the patient's personality-oriented contacts and means for optimizing the therapeutic result of the health care. It follows that the communication in the medical practice is a necessary precondition and an important condition for the normal course of the healing process. The formation of the communicative competencies is a difficult and responsible pedagogical task, because the achievement of the communicative goal in the healthcare depends on them. It is a paramount issue in the training of specialized Bulgarian and English languages to the foreign students at Bulgarian medical universities. This article presents the specialized text as a basic didactic material in the implementation of activity-oriented tasks for building functional communicative competence in a second (foreign) language for special purposes. This thematic area is poorly studied in Bulgarian linguistic researches and analysis. It is necessary to see that there is need to study the issue in more depth. The aim is to optimize the training and formation of skills in foreign medical students for effective professional communication and to develop in them the ability to use the language independently in medical practice. Working with authentic texts leads to a better mastery and understanding of the official Bulgarian language for medical care. It supports the implementation of a quality communication between the main actors in the healthcare - doctors and patients, in accordance with the principles of medical ethics.
