- Abstract
The article discusses the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia's ruling in the 2012 case New York v. U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) which deals with alleged violations of the U.S. National Environmental Policy Act, NRC rulemaking, and the environmental impacts of long-term nuclear waste storage. According to the article, America's nuclear energy industry generates over 2,000 tons of spent nuclear fuel every year. The U.S. Nuclear Waste Policy Act of 1982 is examined.
