- Abstract
Teacher workload in Wales was an important concern in the Welsh Assembly Government which was backed by Labour Party at Westminster as of January 2004. A debate was introduced in the Welsh Assembly by Jane Davidson, Minister for Education and Lifelong Learning. Davidson supported the decision of the Welsh Assembly Government to support the national agreement on teachers workload. According to Davidson the agreement would reduce teachers workload and raise standards by freeing teachers focus on teaching and learning.
