- Abstract
A new disease of mango seedling has been observed in mango nurseries and orchards in and around Faizabad district of U.P., India. Infected seedlings produce short internodes and brittle leaves having slight to complete downward rolling and swollen veins and veinlets. After appearance of initial symptoms, growth of the seedlings ceased for considerable period of time. No cellular pathogen was found associated with the infected seedlings. The causal agent, however, could be easily graft transmitted producing typical symptoms in the healthy scion.
