- Abstract
The article explores the prevalence of corruption in the correctional system in the Philippines. According an investigation, prison officials had conspired with inmates to sell time credits awarded for good conduct, falsified records for inmates to obtain premature release, given hospital passes for sale and brought prostitutes for hire for inmates. The failure to reform the correctional system has been attributed of the entrenched problems in the prisons.
