- Abstract
In this article, the author discusses the incident of a white student who arrived in his class of Native American ethnohistory wearing a baseball cap with an Indian head logo on it. Topics discussed include his efforts to create awareness among students on race and racism, need to develop courses to address systemic inequalities in the U.S. society and ensure an end to racial inequalities, and focus on social justice pedagogy which enables white students to learn about racism.
