- Abstract
The article discusses a court case between Bi-Economy Market, Inc. v. Harleysville Insurance Co. Bi-Economy meat market suffered major fire accident. It states that Harleysville did not deny coverage in total, it merely substantially and unreasonably delayed payment of the full amount of the benefits due. As a result, the court may have felt compelled to reference the duty of good faith and fair dealing, to explain why Harleysville's conduct constituted a breach under the insurance policy.
