- Authors
MORTON, A. J.
- Abstract
The article discusses Robert Burns' poems that are regarded as his contributions to Masonic poetry. The poem "The Master's Apron" which was attributed to Burns was not included in his published works. Burns was described as a fervent Freemason who wrote several Masonic pieces and was a member of several lodges in Ayrshire, Scotland. The periodical "Granite State Monthly" showed that the "The Master's Apron," was written by Henry O. Kent, a U.S. candidate for Governor of New Hampshire and was written for a Masonic dinner.
