- Abstract
The author comments on the study that examines the genetically engineered bacteria in yogurts. The author highlights the health benefits of the commensal bacteria found in yogurt, especially to the overall health of the gut. The author has also emphasized its use as gene delivery vectors through intravenous administration. The author is particular on the democratization of synthetic biology led by the International Genetically Engineered Machines (iGEM®) foundation.
