- Abstract
The aim of this article is to analyze the discussions in the field of the political education in Germany in light of the appearance of far-right on the political and cultural scene. This way, I will show how the normative framework of the political education in Germany, the so-called Beutelsbach Consensus, has been reconsidered in order to deal with situations of xenophobia and racism in the school. In relation to this, I will discuss some pedagogical approaches to this problem based on different factors to show the multiple dimensions that an education for democracy should take into account.
