- Title
Proper Usage of NASPE*/BPEG** Codes.
- Abstract
This article presents information related to the proper usage of North American Society of Pacing and Electrophysiology (NASPE) and British Pacing and Electrophysiology Group (BPEG) Codes. NASPE deplores the arbitrary alteration of the NASPE/BPEG Codes in publications, advertisements or labeling of devices. As the technology of cardiac pacing and defibrillation evolves, symbols must be created and brought up to date periodically--to permit efficient and unambiguous communication among the clinicians, engineers and scientists involved in developing and applying that technology to the management of cardiac-rhythm disorders.
