- Abstract
The author discusses her incorporation of author websites in teaching reading to her middle school students. Topics addressed include having students anticipate the author's reasons or purpose in writing a specific book, integrating knowledge and ideas using visual information with other data in digital and print texts, and students' comparisons of various authors' websites. Also mentioned are students' creation of fan websites and the use of technology as a tool for reading and writing skills.
