- Abstract
The article offers information on the article "A large, natural infection of sea lice on juvenile Pacific salmon in the Gulf Islands area of British Columbia, Canada" by R.J. Beamish and colleagues that appeared in the current issue of the periodical. It states that salmon farms are a major source of sea lice on juvenile wild salmon. It also states that fish from locations like the farms have higher louse prevalence and that high temperature and salinity are correlated with high lice loads
