- Abstract
The article discusses eco-friendly building practices in the U.S. as of March 2012, focusing on a green building movement in the country, an examination of environmental building standards, and an assessment of Oregon's green building initiatives which include the state's Business Energy Tax Credit. The city of Portland, Oregon and its green building program is addressed, including the city's public planning initiatives regarding multiple-use land development and green construction projects.
