- Authors
Cassity, Michael
- Abstract
The article discusses the impact of farm technology revolution on the social transformation of Wyoming from 1880 to 1930. Topics discussed include how Wyoming's decentralized agriculture in the 1880s was undermined by evolving technology and the complex of debts and markets that accompanied it. Also discussed is how technology spurred the demise of old social patterns such as hiring migrant workers instead of local farmhands and shift from production for use to production for market.
