- Abstract
The article focuses on British glass artist Frederick Carder and the years he spent working at glass company Stevens & Williams in Brierley Hill, Stourbridge, England. The author discusses a notebook kept by Carder which contains notes and drawings, explores how Japanese aesthetics and the Art Nouveau movement influenced Carder's work, and examines several pieces that are now in the possession of The Corning Museum of Glass.
