- Abstract
This article presents brief summaries of various legislative research reports presented at the annual meetings of legislative bodies. The research paper "What They Don't Know Won't Hurt Them: Legislative Representation and Constituent Ignorance," by Benjamin G. Bishin was presented at the 2002 annual meeting of the Midwest Political Science Association. This paper presents the leading theories of representation that provide a general framework for understanding representation. The research paper ""Hitting the Target: Are Labour Women MPs Acting For Women?," by Sarah Childs is based on parliamentary affairs. This paper is based on data from in-depth interviews with new intake labour women MPs in both 1997 and 2000.
