- Abstract
The article presents a survey which reveals the factors associated with family planning and vasectomy discussions in the U.S. The survey finds that the factors affecting family planning discussions are being female and family medicine practice. It shows that instances of family planning are higher in female patients than in male patients. It discovers that 94% of the health provider respondents displayed correct knowledge regarding the benefits of vasectomy while 41.8% correctly estimated the lifetime prevalence of vasectomy and ligation. It also suggests that health providers should encourage their patients to take control of their health and reproduction.
