- Abstract
The article presents information on the illegal immigration in the U.S. and the need of passing legislation related to undocumented immigrants. The social and economic challenges, impact of economic recession and the drug related violence in the region of the U.S.-Mexico border is considered. The local government laws related to immigration for the U.S. states including Alabama, South Carolina and Pennsylvania is also discussed.
