- Abstract
The article presents the architectural projects created by the students of Sean Lally at the Rice School of Architecture in Houston, Texas which incorporates the materiality associated with energy. It notes that in creating these projects, the students considered architectural methods and strategies that offer resultant opportunities. The projects include the Reykjavik Botanical Garden created Andrew Corrigan and John Carr which utilizes the geothermal energy sources in Iceland, a living space created by Curt Gambetta and Brian Shepherdson that is organized around the air's movement and humidity, and the pavilion designed by Federico Cavazos and Robert Crawford which creates a landscape of different spatial zones.
