The article explores the music of Mexican choral composers in Minnesota classrooms. It examines the experiment of Philip Brunelle, artistic director of VocalEssence, called ¡Cantaré!. The main goal of the initiative is to connect composers from Mexico directly with elementary school, high school, college and community choirs in the state. Moreover, the successful outcome of the experiment is also discussed.
