- Abstract
The article talks about the celestial events in January 2005 which will feature visible planets, bright comet and the descent of the Huygens probe in the U.S. The planets Mercury, Venus, Mars and Jupiter will appear across the skies during this month. Both Mercury and Venus will rise an hour ahead of the sun above the southeastern horizon for the first half of the month. Mars will be a couple of hours ahead of the two planets while Jupiter rises at midnight. The Huygens probe from the Cassini spacecraft will reach the moon Titan in January 14. The Comet Machholz will reach naked-eye brightness in the evenings of January 12 and 13 located within the Taurus constellation.
