- Abstract
The article discusses the moral responsibilities of intellectuals in social setting. It states that academic career are established by only those who provide public service in high forms. Intellectuals can make necessary contributions to the society, which today faces problems like poverty, malnutrition, chronic diseases, mortality, sexual slavery, child abuse, governmental torture, mass-murder etc. They can contribute to the society by showing little concern toward these problems and finding out ways to mitigate it.
