ACTIVITIES announced for AATCC IC &E 200.
- Abstract
This section provides information on the activities announced for the American Association of Textile Chemists and Colorists' (AATCC) 2004 International Conference and Exhibition (IC&E) to held on September 13-17, 2004 at the Palmetto Expo Center in Greenville, South Carolina. IC&E will feature educational sessions for all facets of the textile industry, from the designer to product development, manufacturing and on to the retailer. The Concept 2 Consumer track will focus on information and supply chain management, copyright legalities, color standards and communication, traditional and digital printing and brand integrity. The technical track will feature presentations on fiber and product innovations, preparation, dyeing, finishing, color science, medical textiles and biotechnology. The Pre-Awards Banquet Reception will be held from 6:15 p.m. to 7:15 p.m. on Wednesday, September 15, in the lobby of the Hyatt Regency hotel in downtown Greenville. The program will feature the presentation of the Olney Medal for outstanding achievement in textile chemistry, the Harold C. Chapin Award for service to AATCC, and the Henry E. Millson Award for Invention. The AATCC Outstanding College Graduate of the Year will be recognized and the results of the Herman and Myrtel Goldstein Student Paper Competition will be announced.
