- Abstract
The article discusses several updates about the publication and the Western Jewish community. It mentions that the publication's study titled "The Franklin Brothers in Gold Rush California" was published in the volume "A Bicentennial Festschrift for Jacob Rader Marcus" in honor of the creator of the American Jewish Archives at Cincinnati, Ohio. Reprinted in the April 1976 issue of the "Jewish Digest" is Carmel Myers' "Film Industry Recollections." It also notes the leaders in the Western Jewish community who passed away, including Justin Turner, founding president of the Southern California Jewish Historical Society, and Shlomo Bardin, creator of Brandeis Camp.
