- Abstract
Ethnographic writing as an undertaking of anthropological work goes beyond the use of methods and techniques for its construction. In this sense, the present article seeks to reflect on the crossroads of ethnographic work and how the trajectory of the anthropologist affects and influences the writing process. For this, the issues that involve the "scientific objectivity" in academic texts will be problematized from the analysis of the methodological and writing path used in the monograph "Handicraft and Surface Design of Caatinga Embroidery in Dom Inocêncio in Piauí", for the completion of the bachelor's degree in Fashion, Design and Styling at the Federal University of Piauí, in the year 2018. The means that involve a localized and embodied ethnographic writing will be approached for grounding this article, from the notions of feminist scientific objectivity proposed by Donna Haraway (1995), of the senses that trigger the looking, listening and writing raised by Roberto Cardoso de Oliveira (1996), of the construction of the academic scientific text from a marked body and positioning advocated by Silvana Nascimento (2019) and an ethnographic writing not as a method, but as a tangle of senses and affectations, as proposed by Mariza Peirano (2014). We will also address questions about how the personal trajectory of a researcher-artisan crosses writing process within the anthropological field.
