- Abstract
In this study, consumers' attitudes toward organic foods were revealed based on key determining variables such as reliability, health, easy access, price, promotion, brand, quality, and status. The primary data of this study were obtained from online surveys via Google forms conducted with 150 consumers in İzmir Province where was included as research scope. Consumers' attitudes toward organic food products were assessed using a variety of propositions presented with a five-point Likert Scale. Inspection system, health, and easy access to organic food products were the three suggestions with the highest participation from participants. The most significant issues encountered by participants in the purchase of organic food are; high prices of organic products, insufficient sales points, and distrust in the organic foods' production process respectively. In order to increase the supply of organic products, reduce unit prices, expand organic product markets throughout the country, and establish an inspection mechanism that would inspire customer confidence in the manufacturing process, policy strategies should be developed.
