- Abstract
The present work gives an overview of the refugees, their experiences and experiences in the literature for children and young people using the example "Everything will be fine" by Kirsten Boie. In this context, the refugee figure and the topic of flight in children's and youth literature were examined. The term refugee was examined in more detail and the versions of the term "refugee" in literature are examined in more detail. In addition, the most important facts and figures about the escape were kept at a glance. After an insight into Kirsten Boie's biography, the analysis of the novel begins. The content and form analysis enables the narrative to be interpreted in terms of the refugees' ideas. The aim of this work is to introduce the refugees to the young readers who do not know the escape. The results confirm that bilingualism enables the first contact with history in Arabic-speaking refugee children. "Everything will be fine" can be a good material in school classes. In addition, the narrative brings the children's experiences and feelings closer to the readers. In recent years in Turkish children's and youth literature, issues related to refugees and asylum seekers have been dealt with. With the increasing number of refugees in Turkey, this topic is to be investigated and developed further so that mutual respect can arise.
