- Abstract
The article presents information on legal developments in marketing relative to the regulation of competition. Pertaining to price discrimination, the author cites the case of United States Federal Trade Commission (F.T.C.) v. Universal-Rundle Corp., in which the U.S. Supreme Court backed an F.T.C. cease and desist order mandating Universal to stop offering discounted plumbing fixtures to only some of its customers. Also noted is the case of Shulton Inc. v. Consumer Value Stores Inc., involving the issue of resale price maintenance.
