- Authors
WALFISH, RUTH
- Abstract
The article presents a comparative study on biblical figures Ruth and Elisha. The author argues that the two characters may appear to have little in common, however she believes that they are connected thematically including their decision to reject their old lives and choose a new mentor. She examines Naomi and Elijah, who are the two people most important in their lives. She concludes that the stories of Ruth and Elisha highlights loyalty, failure, and continuity.
