- Abstract
The Department of Defense is pushing hard to improve the statistical rigor of its acquisition and test programs. This push is not without concerns and misperceptions. This paper provides an overview of the key concepts associate with the push for statistical rigor and design of experiments, dispels some of the confusion around the push and lays out the various challenges facing the successful implementation of improved statistical rigor.
