- Title
Webs of Corruption. Trafficking and Terrorism in Central Asia.
- Abstract
A more systematic conceptualization of the international side of the nexus, and its connections with the state, would provide a greater comprehension of local and international dynamics of terrorism and trafficking. With the help of geographical qualitative and quantitative data, we can understand the socio-economic and topographic features of the nexus and the "spatial and temporal coincidence" of drug trafficking and terrorism in Central Asia. To understand these associations between organized crime and terrorism, the authors propose to go beyond what is generally acknowledged in the literature regarding the dynamics of the trafficking-terrorism nexus.
