- Abstract
This article presents information on capital budgeting. The author discusses various mathematical formulae that are used to measure the profitability of an organization's investments. The author examines the similarities and differences between various methods in order to help determine what methods are most appropriate for a given investment scenario. He hopes to identify special methods that may be beneficial in specific cases. He discusses the basic theory behind investing, noting that organizations need to be able to give up current capital in order to achieve greater financial success in the future.
