- Abstract
In today's increasingly competitive environment, job performance is of great importance on the effort of businesses to gain an advantage over their competitors. Businesses resort to various ways to increase job performance. Supervisor support is an important variable in increasing job performance. Besides this situation, the level of organizational identification of the employees directly affects their performance. Does manager support alone affect employee performance without organizational identification? Or is there a mediating role of organizational identification in the impact of supervisor support on job performance? This question constitutes the aim of the study. Within the scope of the study, data are collected from 217 bank employees using convenience sampling method. As a result of the analyzes made in the light of the collected data, the hypotheses suggested in the study are supported and it is seen that organizational identification played a mediating role in the effect of perceived manager support on employee performance.
