NEWLY DESIGNED COUNT-A-DOSE TO BE RELEASED IN APRIL.
- Authors
Freeman, Michael
- Abstract
In this article, the author discusses the decision of MediCool Inc. in Torrance, California to no longer manufacture Count-A-Dose, a newly studied, low-technology device that blind diabetics can employ to determine and precisely draw up their insulin. He says that the U.S. Food and Drug Administration agreed to need more stringent trial procedures for the drug than when it was first released. Luckily, Diagnostic Devices, Inc. has agreed to manufacture a new one called Prodigy Count-A-Dose.
