The article discusses factors an appraiser needs to consider in accepting a litigation assignment, including conflicts of interest, scope of work, and the litigation timeline. The role of other witnesses and assumptions that may affect the preparation of the appraiser's report and testimony are also discussed. The article also offers practical advice on the discovery process.
