- Abstract
This section offers news briefs on global health as of September 18, 2013. A study found high rates of substance abuse in children who live on the street in low- and middle-income countries. Researchers from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill established a diagnostic pathology laboratory in Lilongwe in collaboration with the government of Malawi. A report revealed that mental health interventions can lower the burden of common perinatal mental health disorders in women.
