- Title
Reaction kinetics: Catalysis without a catalyst.
- Authors
Kopelman, Raoul
- Abstract
The article discusses research conducted by Olivier Bénichou and colleagues which examined the heterogeneous chemical reactions of non-classical kinetics and its role in biology. The researchers use a random-walk-based approach in obtaining analytical expressions that all straighforward computations. The study showed that the starting point of a reactant creates a large difference to reaction kinetics in identically crowded systems such as cellular nuclei.
