- Abstract
The article presents research on self-directed learning in MOOCs (Massive Open Online Courses). The process of designing a MOOC enriched with the contribution of the learners themselves is analyzed. A tool is proposed for profiling learners in relation to three competency axes: motivational, social, and reflective. The results show design solutions to support regulated learning and self-directed learning in MOOCs, as well as the importance of caring for motivational components and the introduction of metacognitive aids.
